Michael D. "Max" Schell
Michael D. "Max" Schell is known for his diverse career in the military, education, and community service. Currently, he teaches the Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) program at Soledad High School. He taught at Everett Alvarez High School from 2019 until July 2023. He also taught here at Soledad High School in 2012 and 2013.
Schell graduated with honors in Business Management from Southern Illinois University. In the Navy, he served as a Master Chief Petty Officer, specializing in submarine operations and nuclear propulsion. He also spent time teaching and managing projects.
Outside the military, Schell has over 30 years of experience in security and event management, both professionally and as a volunteer. He's been heavily involved in community service, including leading the Sacramento Homeless Veterans Stand Down.
With a deep commitment to his community, Schell serves the Soledad community and the Soledad Community Health Care District as a Board Director. His objective on the SCHCD Board is to ensure that quality health care is accessible for all. He's dedicated to serving others and making a difference wherever he goes.
