Ida Lopez Chan is a dedicated leader committed to improving healthcare access and strengthening community resources in South Monterey County. As the first woman CEO of the Soledad Community Health Care District, she has led with vision, financial expertise, and a deep understanding of the healthcare needs in rural communities.

Born and raised in Greenfield, CA, to immigrant parents, Ida learned the value of hard work and perseverance at an early age. As the first woman in her family to attend college, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and later obtained a Master of Business Administration. Her background in banking and finance provided her with the strategic skills necessary to navigate complex financial and operational challenges in the healthcare sector.

Since taking on the role of CEO, Ida has focused on strengthening the district’s financial sustainability, expanding services, and increasing healthcare access for underserved populations. Under her leadership, the district has enhanced operations at Soledad Medical Clinic, Eden Valley Care Center, and the Women's Health Center. She has also championed the development of a mobile health clinic to reach patients in rural areas who face barriers to medical care.

Beyond financial growth and service expansion, Ida fosters a culture of collaboration and professional development within the district. She actively works with local leaders, healthcare professionals, and community organizations to create lasting solutions that benefit residents. Ida is currently pursuing an academic doctoral degree, reflecting her ongoing commitment to professional excellence and continuous learning.
